Powell wellness studio Om2Ohm will debut a 4-week program examining our relationship with food and the ongoing effort to refine the way we view the food we eat. Course designer Sheri Mollica-Toth explains, “You begin to choose and eat food that is both pleasing and nourishing to your body by using all of your senses to explore, savor and taste.”
Entitled Peace2Eat® Mindful Eating, the two-hour Wednesday evening sessions are bi-monthly, starting January 15 and 29, and continue on February 12 and 26. Each session will apply mindfulness techniques to shopping, preparing and eating food. Special attention is paid to the physical hunger and satiation cues that help guide our decisions to start and stop eating. “It teaches participants an entirely new approach to weight loss, healthy eating and stress reduction,” says Mollica-Toth.
