Solar Grill Uses No Fossil Fuel
David Wilson, a professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, has invented a “baby barbecue” requiring no firewood, coal, gas or electricity to operate. The futuristic-looking, solar-driven contraption is suited for grilling, cooking or heating food, and can also be a space heater.
The energy stored from a single day in the sun can charge its battery for about 25 hours. It’s perfect for outdoor cooking in large cities and especially in rural or remote areas. Wilson thinks it will be of great benefit to those in developing nations that typically rely on wood to cook their food.
